Terms of Service
Last updated: May 17, 2026
Welcome to Chambered. By accessing or using chambered.app, our interactive tools, or any related applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to possess firearms under federal, state, and local law to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2. Not Legal Advice
Chambered provides reference information about firearm laws, concealed carry permits, reciprocity, and related topics. This information is for educational purposes only and is NOT legal advice.
Firearm laws change frequently and vary by federal, state, and local jurisdiction. We do our best to keep information current and cite official sources for every legal claim, but we make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any information on the Service to your specific situation.
Always verify current firearm laws with the relevant state Attorney General, state police, ATF, or a licensed firearms attorney before relying on information from the Service. You are solely responsible for compliance with applicable law.
3. Not a Substitute for Training
Information on the Service — including guides on cleaning firearms, zeroing rifles, the four rules of gun safety, and other operational content — is reference material and does not replace hands-on training from a qualified instructor. You are responsible for safe and competent firearm handling.
4. Use of Interactive Tools
The Service includes interactive tools (Dope Card Builder, Can I Carry reciprocity map, and others). Output from these tools is based on inputs you provide and standard formulas/data tables. Tool output is not a guarantee of accuracy in your specific situation:
- Dope Card Builder: Calculations use a Pejsa-style point-mass ballistic solver with G1 drag and ICAO standard atmosphere corrections. Results approximate real-world ballistics but are not a substitute for chronograph data and actual range verification.
- Can I Carry reciprocity map: Reciprocity data is compiled from state Attorney General and state police sources. State laws change with new legislation; ALWAYS verify with the destination state's Attorney General before traveling with a firearm.
5. User Accounts and Data
Currently, the Service does not require an account to use most features. If we add account-based features (cloud sync, premium tools, etc.), additional terms will govern those features. Your data stored locally on your device is your responsibility — back up anything important.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with the Service's operation (e.g., scraping at volumes that affect performance, DDOS, etc.)
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
- Republish content from the Service without our permission
- Use the Service to defame, harass, threaten, or otherwise harm others
7. Intellectual Property
The Service's content (text, design, graphics, software, trademarks) is the property of Chambered or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission, except for personal non-commercial use.
8. Third-Party Links and Affiliate Disclosure
The Service may include links to third-party sites and products. Some of these are affiliate links: if you make a purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products we believe in. The Service is not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHAMBERED AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY LEGAL, FIREARM-HANDLING, OR OTHER INJURIES OR DAMAGES THAT MAY RESULT FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON SERVICE CONTENT.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chambered and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
